Sept 2011 Atlanta Radiation Meter Geiger Counter Readings.mp4

by Admin on 2012/08/12

Tell me what you think... are these levels normal for a suburb of Atlanta? These readings were taken during daylight hours. I'm not sure what if anything I should make of these readings. Comments are welcome. @ 0:01 - I took a reading of my living room in front of a flat panel TV set. @ 3:01 - I took a reading of the baseline in my guest bedroom (placed on the floor) @ 6:20 - I took a reading right outside of my house, on the ground.

Hi, we also have a radiation detector and use it daily for inside and outside measurements. Based on the readings on your detector, it seems you’re getting between 30-40 cpm, which is pretty much the norm that we’ve been seeing here in Maryland. After doing this a few times, you’ll get to know the baseline. Have you tried checking your tile or granite top? It should be closer to 100 cpm. If your background readings reach 100 cpm, then it’s not normal.

Hi. I subscribe to Antiprotons and I saw his video response back to you. He’s seems to be a pretty bright guy and keeps his info as accurate as he can. I’ m posting a video response to you as I have a Ludlum instrument and that has an analog dial and thought you might like to see it. I average the high and low needle readings to get an average CPM.
